SPRING

BOUNTY

The mountians are laughing.

APRIL 6—10, 2026

April is abundance — hillsides carpeted in fresh greens, wild wisteria tumbling into bloom. A feast of wild herbs, tender shoots, and bright flavors points the way toward summer, each bite alive with the joy of spring.

The birthplace of tea — born of land and hand.

Step into fields where centuries of craft still thrive. Here, Ureshino’s twin legacies of tea and ceramics come together in a modern expression of ceremony — one that honors tradition yet feels alive in the present. Each cup is both landscape and lineage, steeped in place, poured in beauty.

Wild, local, lyrical, and alive — a feast that roots you in place and time.

Each meal honors Japan’s microseasons — fleeting flavors gathered, celebrated, and savored while they last. More than ingredients, they are moments in time: expressed on the plate, felt on the palate, and cherished in memory.

HERE, every DETAIL IS CONSIDERED
every MOMENT IS INTENTIONAL

From private meals that celebrate Japan’s fleeting micro-seasons to hands-on encounters with master craftspeople, you’ll experience the richness of Mirukashi in its most personal form. This is not simply a trip, but an immersion — a chance to taste, create, and dwell fully in beauty, together.

The Shape of our Days

ARRIVAL

We’ll gather at the Salon for a welcome dinner, beginning with a seasonally infused Mirukashi original cocktail. From there, fresh flavors flow and new friendships take root — the adventure begins.

Make your way to Mirukashi for an enchanted evening.

FORAGE & COOK

We’ll unearth bamboo shoots, gather ferns, fuki stems, and peppery sansho — a harvest as wild as the season. Back at Mirukashi, transform it all into a feast alive with spring’s fleeting brilliance.

Slip on your boots and step into the hills where a wild feast awaits.

ARTISAN Atelier

Step into the pottery atelier for a rare and exclusive glimpse. Watch as she brings clay to life with her signature throwing techniques. As vessels take shape beneath her hands, she reflects on form, function, and the poetry of everyday objects.

Visit Hanako's studio where clay, fire, and philosophy meet.

Kitchen Alchemy

As we strip peels, tips, and stems to reveal hidden beauty, nothing is wasted. Every scrap becomes pickle, every gesture a lesson in preservation, patience, and the quiet poetry of Japanese cuisine.

Nuka-zuke — vegetables transformed in rice bran ferment.

Among the tea trees

Journey to Ureshino, birthplace of Japanese tea, where rolling fields meet centuries of tradition. On a private estate, savor an intimate encounter with Japan’s green tea — enduring artistry in every cup.

A modern tea ceremony that marries cultivation and craft.

Sacred spirits

We'll visit a revered 3000 year old camphor tree that radiates awe and endurance. To stand before this ancient giant is to feel time dissolve — an intimate encounter with the divine pulse of the natural world.

A vessel of Shinto spirit — where faith and forest are one.

A perfect Picnic

Back in the Mirukashi kitchen, we’ll shape jewel-like temarizushi — vinegared rice orbs topped with translucent slices of tai and the bright green kiss of kinome leaves from the sansho trees. Each one a bite-sized poem to the season.

Color, texture, and flavor form a joyful expression of the season.

WHERE FLAVOR ORIGINATES

A picnic in the countryside, where all flavor originates. After our picnic, we’ll linger — unhurried — for a quiet ceremony of matcha and sweets, a moment of stillness and savoring beneath the open sky.

Where the landscape itself becomes part of the feast.

carry it home

Wake up to one last seaside sunrise. Today you leave with more than memories. Because the real souvenir isn’t something you pack — it’s the quiet shift within you that lingers, long after you’ve left.

Carry home new eyes, a new rhythm, and a new way of meeting life.
